My Story - told by mom

Let me just start out by saying, although I may be an adult with autism, that doesn't define who I really am. I am a guy who likes to stay busy doing various things. I used to attend a vocational program in Westminster, but that didn't work out for me, so now I have a new chapter of my life starting. I have entered into the Self Directed program whereas mom will be working with me all the time! I am so happy about this new program. The Self Directed program offers me so many more opportunities doing things in the community, things that I truly enjoy doing with someone who listens and understands me, and working on different projects that I can utilize my current skills, along with developing new ones.
